Rain on Moving Day: How to Handle Moving in Bad Weather

Let’s be honest right from the get-go: moving is stressful, inconvenient, expensive, and sometimes damaging to health and property. This is only exacerbated when there are adverse weather conditions. Now you don’t tend to get too many hurricanes, volcanoes, earthquakes, or blizzards in Sydney, however, we do often have bouts of rain, sometimes torrential. Not a good move, especially if your feet get cold and numb, and you lose some control and grip of your toes when moving heavy objects, which of course, is hard enough as it is. Not forgetting sometimes wearing ill-fitting clothes or sometimes with the ladies, activewear, which may not do an adequate job in keeping warm and dry within the context of a rainy day!
