Tips for packing and moving your home quickly Packing up your home is a very daunting task to do. Every one of us does clutter a lot of stuff in our homes and never think that perhaps one day we have to move. But when the moving time comes then we all get into a panic. A few tips and tricks have been discussed that can make your packing and moving experience simpler.

  • Planning phase

First of all, do make sure which supplies will be needed for packing up the stuff. Try to keep all these tools and supplies close to your hands with the trustworthy removalists Rozelle, so that when you are packing up some stuff all these tools are in your range. It will save a lot of your time and effort. You would not have to run here and there for a small single thing.

  • Inventory list

It is better to make a list of the things that you have to take along with you. You must sort out the stuff and find out what you have to take with you and what you have to leave behind. It proves to be a good idea as it will reduce your stuff to a large extent. You must get rid of all the things that are no longer used by you. You can give this stuff to some charity shop or to some fried (who need it). Keeping such things will occupy a large amount of space not only in your packing boxes but also in your storage area. Always keep in mind that the more stuff you are going to take along with you, the more space you will need and the more you have to pay the moving companies. Keep as minimum as you can.

  • Getting materials together

You must collect all kinds of packing materials and make sure that you have got enough. You can get the packing boxes from your family and friend and your colleagues as well. It is better that you must ask about the packing boxes in your community as well. There might be someone who recently has moved in and can provide you with the packing material. These boxes can also be obtained from local grocery shops. You can also get these packing kits from online shops. Long-distance house moving companies also do provide these materials but they might charge you higher. Always start packing with the stuff that you will not need right after moving. For example, if you are moving in the summer then pack up all of your winter stuff.

  • Packing the essentials

Set aside a few items that will be needed right after moving like a few of your clothes, a few utensils, important documents and gadgets. All these items must be kept in a handbag that will be taken along with you while moving.

  • Labelling phase

Always label your boxes after packing them up. You can label them the way you want. It is better to label the boxes by the room names like kitchen, dining room, and living room. It will make it easier for you to sort out your stuff and also you will easily organize it after moving into a new house. Always note down how many boxes you have packed so that you might not miss any during the moving process.

  • The importance of padding

You can make use of clothes, bed covers and towels to protect your fragile stuff inside the boxes by wrapping them up. It is also a good idea to label boxes ‘fragile’ which do contain some delicate stuff inside.

About The Author

Bill Chen

Before 2008, Bill was working with a local removalist company in Sydney and was witness for a number of deformities and wrongs in the working of the company. Observing the atmosphere, a thought came to Bill’s mind that he could do much better if he were the owner of the company, by offering a fully transparent service to the clients with a friendly and trustworthy staff and no hidden fee structure; and thus, in 2008, AAA Bill Removalists Sydney was formed with just one truck and only Bill as staff. Even if Bill Chen began the company as just one man, the company grew fast. The operation expanded beyond the Sydney suburbs and to the surrounding cities: Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Canberra, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other.
